What'd you do this summer?

Share some of your most memorable moments of (or lack of, if you know what I mean) yours summer with us at the annual SIA ice-breaker!

Welcome to SIA!

Posted by Rishi Ishairzay 40 years ago

Hello everyone! My name is Monil Amin and I will be your 2009-2010 SIA President. This is a reminder that tomorrow is SIA's Ice Breaker at 6pm to 8pm in Squires Colonial Hall. I understand that some of you have class during this time, but if you can come before or after class, it would be a great chance to see what this organization is all about.

Ice Breaker simply stands for what it states- to get to know and understand what the Society of Indian Americans represent. This is NOT an organization limited to strictly Indian Americans and we welcome everyone to join us tomorrow night, so please feel free to come out and enjoy yourself.

The SIA officer team has many surprises and events planned for you this upcoming year and is eager to show you what SIA and its affiliated organizations at Virginia Tech (Bhangra, Garba, Indian Classical Fusion, Sigma Beta Rho, Student Government Association, and possibly a future sorority: Delta Phi Omega) will be hosting.

For those of you that are interested in joining, we encourage you to bring $25 membership dues tomorrow. This will cover the full year and provide consistent benefits for our events. As an incentive for joining, if you pay your dues at the Ice Breaker, we will give you a FREE DVD of our SIA Show from 2008.

There is FREE food and fun activities planned, so we hope to see you all there!

If you have any questions - please feel free to contact me at (732)-850-3196 or e-mail me at aminm07@vt.edu
